AN UNREALISTIC LIFE
As a mixed-media artist with a studio in Pittsburgh, I have lived out on a limb for twenty years while pursuing my love of art and life. I have broken my fingernails working with metalsmiths to create large-scale sculptures for shopping malls from Florida to Seattle and persevered through the night to meet deadlines set by architects and developers. Traveling solo from Bukittinggi to Borneo, I collected photographs and stories as inspiration for my art. My mixed-media sculpture and photography have been exhibited in regional and national shows. See photos at www.elenasmovingimages.com.
In my spare time I dance the tango, practicing my ochos in the kitchen, while dreaming of kicking up my heels at a milonga in Argentina. At a moment’s notice, I will drop everything for a sumptuous repast whether at home or at a fabulous restaurant.
I am currently collecting stories of people who are doing what they love without getting a REAL JOB for my book, An Unrealistic Life.
